Beautiful limpidity and brilliance with an intense golden color and lively green sheen, dense and oily tears.
Attractive aromatic with ripe yellow peach, juicy sweet pear and spiced plum chutney, there is a sweet spicy character with clove, candied ginger and saffron, floral grace of sweet acacia. Underneath all that generous spice and ripe fruit there is a sense of herbal freshness adding lift and precision.
Generous and ripe attack with a warming spicy character and a discrete rounded acidity adding sufficient sense of freshness. The mid-palate is dense and rich with ripe and sweet yellow pear, plum and spiced peach combined with sweet spice of honeyed ginger and clove, crushed almond, and a savory character of dried herbs like bay leaf and tarragon adding freshness. Persistent and spicy finish with a warming sensation.
A generous and ripe style of Pinot Gris with character, spice, attractive ripe fruit character and an underlying freshness and brightness. Perfectly suited to heartful gastronomy with an oriental character. I could perfectly imagine this wine with a Moroccan tagine with spices, garlic, onion, dried fruit, and preserved lemons.
