Raimonds Tomsons discovered his passion for wine while working for 20 years at the famous Vincents restaurant. An ambitious man, he won Latvian and Baltic sommelier competitions several times, before studying at the Austrian Wine Academy in Rust, where he obtained his WSET diploma in wines and spirits. Devoting his career to knowledge and sharing, he has traveled the world's vineyards, met numerous winemakers, and refined a deep understanding of terroirs and their nuances. Crowned Best Sommelier in the World A.S.I. 2023 in Paris, he now holds several prestigious roles, including Judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards and Judge for Star Wine Lists, while also running the Wine Collectors company in Riga. Attracted by Wine BHM's vision and high standards, he now brings his expertise to professional tastings and collaborations with producers around the world.
