Clear and bright with very dense and opaque purple-violet core and very thin violet rim, high viscosity with attractive staining of the tears.
Open and fragrant nose with violets and purple lilac, a plethora of ripe inky sweet berries like blueberry, blackberry and dark cherry confiture combined with notes of spice box (cumin, clove). Very fine oak notes of cedar and roasted wood. Still a very youthful nose gaining complexity.
Full and tight with great density, high and mouth-filling tannins with a very polished texture supported by great freshness and acidity. Mid-palate is dense yet packed with ripe but crunchy dark berries (cassis, blackberry, cherry), very fine roasted oak and dark chocolate note, touch of graphite. Long finish with an earthy scent. Despite the concentration and richness, the wine shows remarkable freshness and refinement.
