France is the world's largest consumer of champagne with more than 185 million bottles.

Switzerland: 6 million bottles – 145 million euros
Spain: 5 million bottles – 115 million euros
Netherlands 3 million bottles – 70 million euros

There are 26,200 winegrowers, 130 cooperatives and 370 champagne houses on 34,200 hectares in 3 regions in 5 French departments.
