The Wyckoff family, who have been winemakers in Washington since the 1980s, have completed the acquisition of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, one of the largest American wine groups, acquiring the entire company from private equity firm Sycamore Partners, which had purchased it in 2021 for $1.2 billion.
The transaction marks a return to family ownership for the first time in more than fifty years.
The portfolio includes the brands Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, 14 Hands, Spring Valley Vineyard, and several other renowned labels.
Ste. Michelle Wine Estates exports its wines to more than 100 countries.
