Champagne: with or without herbicide

The Champagne Wine Association has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and phasing out the use of herbicides by 2025.

This announcement was made by David Chatillon and Maxime Toubard, co-presidents of the Comité Champagne.

More good news: to limit CO₂ emissions, the Champagne industry is reducing the weight of each bottle by more than 50 grams. This measure prevents 8,000 tons of CO₂ from being released into the atmosphere each year, the equivalent of 4,000 vehicles.
