Since 1945, Chateau Mouton Rothschild has collaborated with different artists for its Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine labels. The castle has a habit of selecting only eminent artists from the world of art and known worldwide. The choice of the artist is made within the Rothschild family between Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, Camille Sereys and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild. At the time it was Baron Philippe who chose the painters from among his circle of friends, such as Jean Hugo, Léonor Fini and Jean Cocteau. In 1955 Georges Braque agreed to illustrate the vintage, among the most famous artists we can also cite: Dalì, César, Miró, Chagall, Picasso, Warhol, Soulages, Bacon, Balthus, Tàpies, Jeff Koons, Peter Doig and Chiharu Shiota , a collection of labels by vintage for a total of 75 vintages, to which a new work is added each year.
