In a recently released report the US wine industry shows that total dollar sales increased in 2023 with a steady increase since 2018. There are more than 11,600 wineries operating in the United States and half of the producers had reached their sales targets by 2023. Wine shipment volume declined in 2023, but dollar sales increased from previous years, reaching USD 107 billion. In 2018, sales in the USA represented a turnover of 73 billion USD, an increase of 45% until 2023. American consumers continue to drink wine in moderation while increasing consumption.
