A 1945 Romanée-Conti Sets a New World Record at Auction

A bottle of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 1945 has just sold for $812,500 at an Acker auction in the United States on March 28, 2026, shattering its own world record of $558,000 set in 2018. This legendary bottle, from a total production of only 600 bottles, is considered the absolute pinnacle of wine collecting worldwide. It represents the last vintage produced by the Domaine from its pre-phylloxera vines, before their replanting in 1947.
