Clear and bright with a moderately intense ruby core and light garnet rim.
Elevated intensity of ripe, sweet black and red cherries, black plums supported with notes of black leaf tea, dry spice and liquorice, scents of dried violets, roasted notes of fine wood with vanilla and cinnamon.
The palate shows a structure just above moderate with ripe and chalky tannin combined with a well retained freshness. Midpalate is showing good concentration of fruit with juicy ripe dark plums and sweet red cherries, warming dry spice like cinnamon and clove, roasted oak notes of vanilla and gently charred wood, dark chocolate and coffee note on the aftertaste.
A quiet generous style of red wine still having good balance and freshness which should age through the next 6–8 years.
